Poem 1) Topic: A special friend along-side with me( Created by Han JunJie, Wong YanXiang, Zhili Ng and Jeremy Low Jun Siang)
There was once a boy named Jeremy,
who likes to watch Tom and Jerry,
he owns a blackberry,
and likes to eat strawberry,
and he's heart is as sweet as a cherry.
He's gay and merry,
he's dreams are scary,
whose feet are hairy,
and liks to cook curry.
We are writing this as not everyone can have a friend named Jeremy,
who is cute and cuddly.
Poem 2) Topic: Living in Poverty( Created by Han JunJie)
Nowadays, children are living in poverty,
look at those poor kids on teh streets begging for money.
Poeple that walk pass them shows no pity.
that it makes me feel so sorry.
Parents abondoning thier children,
leaving them on the streets like thin chickens,
upon seeing this I was grief-striken,
and my care and concern for the children thickens.
I knew I had to do the right thing for the children that are living in inequality,
so that no one else would ever again live in poverty,
especially when people that are rich receives more portion of food in quantity.
Just because they are rich and fancy.
Out of kindness, I decided to use all my money to help the kids on the streets whom are poor and hungry,
I built an orphanage to help them escape from poverty.
The orphanage shall be named after me,
and the motto will be," for the hearts of the poor and for the money".
Poem 3) Topic: Adeline Ng Ai Choo ( Story be: Catherine Lim's book: Little Ironies, Poem by: Han JunJie)
Adeline Ng Ai Choo,
A girl that is quite the fool,
Suicided for "you".
Adeline Ng Ai Choo was a girl that values education,
Her name is also Modern Western,
She lost a few marks to pass in her examination,
and resorted to a drastic action.
She commited suicide for disappointing her parents,
all because she failed her examination,
the cause of this incident,
might also be because the teacher was not at all linient.
One could also blame her father,
who made her stay in the room to study,
while on the other hand about her mother,
She did all her best not to let her poor daughter suffer.
(ii)write a short commentary on Poem (3):
The theme that i was exploring was probably about a girl that commited suicide due to failing her examination and dissapointing her parents. After that i further developed it into words that rhyme along and the First paragraph was a haiku. I hope to reach out to everyone not to give up even if you failed on the first try and resorted to a drastic action just like Adeline did.
